The Hillsides of Newfoundland

The dark blue ocean stands on one side, ever-present and powerful. On the other is the call of the land, sure and steady. The rugged beauty of Newfoundland is captured and returned to you as you stroll The Hillsides of Newfoundland. Wild and free, it is land untouched.

The Canadian Forest

The birds call softly overhead, lulling you into a peace you thought you'd lost. The Canadian Forest is big and welcoming and always ready to embrace newcomers. Beside you a squirrel forages and in front of you, the path divides. Before you choose, take a moment and lie under the branches of a gentle giant. Look up at the canopy of The Canadian Forest, and learn to breathe again.

The Beach

The sandy beach touches the dark blue water which melts into the bright blue sky. Synergy exists between earth, water and wind, each without boundaries. The Beach provides a calm and serene reminder that life without boundaries exists in our fondest memories and in our bravest hearts.

Sunset on Rice Lake

I grew up vacationing on Rice Lake, and have returned as an adult to find the magic and wonder of childhood is still powerful here. Sunset on Rice Lake was conceived as I sat on the water's edge, in a Muskoka chair, letting the water lap at my toes. I watched the sun set across the lake and disappear behind the forest horizon. It was serene and beautiful, and I hope I have captured that feeling with Sunset on Rice Lake.

Ice Storm

As a Canadian artist, I follow a long tradition -- a requirement -- to be heavily influenced by the environment. Ice Storm speaks to the isolation of blizzards and to the warmth of knowing that you are on the inside, looking out. Everyone should experience a blizzard at least once, so that you can also experience the calm and contentment of not being in one. Look through the glass, and see the Ice Storm.

Green Moss

Some of the most evocative moments of childhood occur when inspecting the green moss that grows on this rock or that. Green Moss lives and grows almost unnoticed, until you stumble upon it, and once noticed, will hold your fascination forever. They are soft, both physically and visually, and that softness is captured here in Green Moss.

Fields of Gold

Fields of Gold, fields of golden grains waiving gently against a blue sky, is the stuff of nostalgic dreams. You need never have seen one in real life to understand its inherent influence on the human body, on the human soul. These Fields of Gold will take you to a childhood you never had, and a future you will likely never experience. And when you explore these Fields of Gold, you can experience a few moments of absent-minded bliss.
