Based on a novel by Anne Holt, Norway's former Minister of Justice. A gripping thriller, featuring lesbian detective Hanne Wilhelmsen on the trail of bizarre and horrible crimes. The brutal rape of a young medical student coincides with the discovery of a number of massacre sites covered in blood, but with no bodies in site. Wilhelmsen finds clues indicating that the 2 cases are connected, which pits her against time to uncover the elusive criminal before time runs out. Wilhelmsen's personal life is also exposed, so she must deal with the impact of her newly-revealed sexuality on her colleagues, and on her live-in partner.
